Sorry about the long delay between these. I love putting them together but confess I don't get it done nearly as often as I'd like. Today? I needed a pick-me-up, so it's all about the bright. Enjoy!

Print Reorganization & SALE!

As part of prepping for my baby boy in September, I'm working to get the shops as organized as possible. First up for me is getting the prints together. I will be getting rid of some sizes and some prints may become available only as part of sets.

Before I make any changes, though, I'm holding a sale so that some listings can go away naturally and maybe we can even get some of the sale prints cleared out. So if you've ever wanted any of the prints available at Wilde Designs or Power Ups, now is the time. Just enter code PRINTSALE at either shop to get 10% off your order!

What got you started with selling online? What inspired you to put yourself out there?
I started selling online back in 2008.  At the time I was a biomedical engineer and newly married.  I made quite a few things for our wedding that year and found I was pretty bored after the big day - I had nothing left to design!  That summer I decided I wanted to start sewing again.  I made a purse.  Nothing fancy, just a fun batik bag.  Someone at work said "Hey, I bet you could sell those!"  Well, I had received the same comments about the bud vases we used as favors at our wedding.  A friend told me about Etsy and I decided to take the leap!  I think in those first few months I had just 3 purses and the bud vases. Then I started knitting and soon hats and scarves joined in.  Over the years I've ditched the purses completely.  Once I started doing more wedding projects I also had to mov…

Additional note: Somehow my Manic Monday post didn't auto post this week like it should have. No clue what went down, but the schedule will just be pushed a week back. Sorry about any confusion!

Professionally I'm a graphic designer but everyone needs a creative outlet outside of work right?  I wanted to get back to basics and back to be artsy with my hands, paint, ink, glue - get down and dirty without the use of a computer.  As a result I started scrap booking, card making and that turned into being an instructor at a local scrapbook store. It became such a joy and I started amassing so many finished pieces that I decided to put them on etsy to share some paper lovin'.

What is your absolute favorite piece in your shop?
I would have to say the "belong" mini album. I just love the quote on the cover "Looking at people who belong to us, we see the past, present and future".  I also love that it can be anything the person wants it to be as it is blank inside . You could fill it with photos, notes, memories, stories....any…
